About

Creator

Maciek Piwowarczuk is a Warsaw based storyteller, historian and writer. Founder of the Big Histories Foundation. He strongly believes in the power of experience. The testimony of the Secret State is for him a story about the uncontrollable force of society and about a global alternative to the horrifying reality of Nazi occupation. During World War II his mother’s relative, Józefa, was murdered by the Nazis for hiding Jews and a cousin of his father, Bronek, was a major player in the underground Home Army.
